dc.description.abstractResearch and research related institutions have elementary important role to play in socio-economic development. The level of research and the intellectual activities mirrors the development of a country and, similarly this reflects its ability and capacity to fashion and mould its own path of development. The researches done in Polytechnic colleges should be useful to the society. That is the research and development institutions should do researches, which will solve the present problems affecting the Zimbabwean society such as electricity and water problems. However most researches are duplication of already done researches and most of them are not guided so that they can be useful to solve the present problems affecting the society of Zimbabwe. Thus the main objective of his study is to find strategies to exploit patent information to enhance innovation.en_US
